After April Showers we are celebrating the flowers that bloom in May.
This week’s inspiration is a celebration of some of the different flowers you can craft with Powertex.
For regular followers of this blog, it’s no secret that I love modelling roses from T-Shirt fabric. You can make them as small or as large as you want.
I like to make them out of coloured Powertex and then dry-brush the tips with a metallic sheen.
But T-Shirt fabric can be used to sculpt flowers in other ways. T-Shirt yarn is particularly good for making large bold centres. This project has over 150 individual petals cut by hand.
You can use other materials. Powertex Balls make striking centres to stylised flowers and this is another example of using Bigz dies to make embellishments as discussed last week.
Powertex also do a wide range of flower moulds and you will see the daisies and roses made out of stone art popping up on my projects.
How do you use flowers on your projects?
