Class Spotlight – May 2019 Fairy House Class

Come and join us on Saturday 11th May 2019 between 11.30am – 2.30pm at Alchemy 198 (BS7 8NU) to make a lovely fairy house from a range of recycled materials including glass, sheets and single use plastics. Special Offer – Book before the 30th April 2019 and you will be entered twice into our monthly prize door to win a Powertex kit worth at least £30.

We are very excited about this May’s “Powertex in the Pub” class at Portberry Crafts, we will be creating a 3D Fairy House from a range of recycled materials, which makes a great Tooth Fairy home or key safe for the garden and really shows off the power of Powertex. Portberry

What you Take Away

  • Your finished Fairy House
  • A surprise mini project which showcases some of the techniques we will be using in the June Class
  • May’s “Powertex in the Pub” is a good introduction to Powertex both as a fabric hardener and a universal medium as you will be using a wide range of natural materials such as cotton, clay, abaca, wood, jute and card.

What we will provide

  • All the materials to follow the class project exactly AND lots of extras if you want to go further and play.
  • Tea, coffee and cakes in the break so you have a chance to relax, chat with fellow crafters and browse our shop.
  • The chance to win a kit worth at least the price of your ticket.
  • You can also sign up for our loyalty scheme, where if you pay for 4 courses, you get a 5th free. Great if you want to come as a group.

The Small Print

Our Tickets are £25 per person. Classes are aimed at adults and over 10’s can also buy a ticket and are welcome to attend when accompanied by a full paying adult.

Powertex is an non-toxic, environmentally friendly, water based medium which can be used on indoor projects as well as becoming weatherproof, when fully dried (approximately 3 weeks).

We are pleased to be in partnership with Alchemy 198, a relaxing Cafe Bar on the Gloucester Road, the workshop room is down a short flight of stairs. If you have problems with this, please contact Portberry Crafts so that we can arrange for you to use the side entrance.
