Houston is doing a brilliant job keeping up with his Advent Calendar duties, it’s me who keeps going out and letting the side down… So let’s get on with Box 14

It’s Houston’s favourite sort of box, big, slightly heavy but doesn’t rattle, so let’s get it open…

It’s a select of mini bottles of Liquid Power, the Liquid pigments from Powertex International.
Liquid Power are bright, semi translucent pigments which really packed a punch. This canvas is Red and Yellow Liquid Power spritzed into White Powertex, before I dry brushed gold pigments into it.

Because it is a pigment, it doesn’t have a fixative in it, so its not permanent until you add one.
One way is to spray it onto, or mix it into wet Powertex. White Powertex gives you a beautiful rich solid colour which retains its semi translucence so can still be layered when sprayed. When mixed with transparent, the semi translucent comes into its own.
Ypu can mix it into EasyStructure, EasyCoat or Easy Varnish, all of which make your products go even further.
If you want to keep the spray affect is to add in Powderfix, which turns it into a sprayable varnish.
Have you used Liquid Power? what do you think?
