This year Powertex UK launched its first Luxury Advent Calendar, packed with 24 days of goodies. On Day 9, we had the Sarah Figurine Head, which is a new one for me and I am looking forward to using her, will we get something new again today?

We have got a sample size of another of my favourite Powertex products – Powercotton. This 100% cotton strings soak up Powertex and can be shaped to add texture or is popular for hair on figurines and fur on animals

Powercotton can be used a strand at a time for in a cluster (as I have used for the hair between the ears on Harley the Hare here), it moulds very well meaning you can pick out details of individual strands in projects, even when they are clumped together. It can also be shaped making it great for a Mixed Media canvas as well.

The light colour of Powercotton means it can be used with all colours of Powertex and it looks stunning when dry-brushed.
