Welcome to our weekly blog post looking in more details at some of our popular classes, this week we are looking at a class which is a perfect introduction to Powertex, creating a number plaque for your door.

This was the first class I taught in 2019 and still a favourite of mine. The original plaque is on our door so you will see it when you come visit us at the studio.

Did you know that Powertex is non toxic and weather proof? Making it perfect for creating beautiful outdoor projects as well as home décor.

This class introduces you to a range of Powertex materials including Powertex itself, Easy Structure, Powertex 3D Balls and Sand as well as showing you how to build layers in a mixed media project and using fabric sculpting in 2D projects. And I introduce you to the Portberry Craft secret weapon for creating the perfect base for projects, you will have to sign up if you want to know more.

We offer a wide range of shapes from artist palettes to sheep and butterflies to leaves to musical instruments and an even bigger range of embellishments to decorate your chosen shape. You then finish the project off with painting it in the colour of your choice.

All you need to do is bring your imagination to create a unique piece of artwork for your home
